EVER WONDERED WHAT IS EL CLÁSICO

El Clásico is the name given in football to any match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Originally it referred only to those competitions held in the Spanish championship, but nowadays the term has been generalized, and tends to include every single match between the two clubs: UEFA Champions League, Copa del Rey. Other than the UEFA Champions League Final, it is the most followed club football match in the world, watched by hundreds of millions of people The rivalry comes about as Madrid and Barcelona are the two largest cities in Spain, and the two clubs are among the richest and most successful football clubs in the world. MAN UNITED TROUNCED 3-0 AT OLD TRAFORD

It was yet another night to forget for United boss David Moyes, in his first season in charge of the fading English champions following the retirement of Alex Ferguson, a successful manager Edin Dzeko scored twice as Manchester City heaped more misery on Manchester United with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday to move to within three points of Premier League leaders Chelsea Dzeko needed just 43 seconds to give City the lead in a Manchester derby at United's Old Trafford ground.Yaya Toure rubbed salt into United's wounds with a third goal in the 90th minute . This result left United 11 points off the top four and effectively needing to win this season's Champions League, where they face holders Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.

GOR MAHIA ASTONISHED BY TOP FRY

Ndirangu John scored a brace as bottom placed Top Fry All stars dazed the KO’Gallo 2-0 to register their first ever win in the Kenyan premier league in Nakuru on Saturday. This was Gor’s first defeat in the season ,similarly it was TOP FRY’s first ever points after losing five games.

TOP PAID KENYAN PREMIER PLAYERS

It should be noted that Gor Mahia and AFC leopard are the two clubs in PKL who are paying their players huge salaries. Below is a list of highest paid players Mike Baresa-he is an AFC player and plays the striking position. He earns Ksh 85,000 per month exclusive of training allowances and other bonuses Second in the list is Allan Wange.he is also an AFC player. He is also a stiker and pockets 80,000 per month without allowances Paul Mugnai comes third after the departure of Dan Sserunkuma .he earns 70,000 per month exclusive of allowances and bonus Paul were of AFC leopadard also takes home a salary of 70,000. NOT YET DONE FOR UNITED

When Man united capsized a 2-0 victory over Olympiakos from the first league to 3-0 victory at old Trafford ,every man united fan thought that the journey to semi final and final was a easy one, but UAF draw broke the hearts of many fans. Man united were drawn to play with Bayern Munich in the UAF quarter final. The likes of Wayne Rooney he will now face the top ranked stars like Ajern Robben.the struggle for the team still continue and everyone especially the united fans are eagier for another surprise . Pep Guardiola is will do what it takes to set a new record as the only manager who will led the club to defend the champion’s league .a thing no team has ever done. If Munich defeat united, they will proceed to quarter final and final into final and in case they win, they will become the first club to defend the champions league.

BEST SOCCER PLAYERS IN KPL

Many may disagree with me in this list ;however everyone is entitled to make his or her own list for the best. If you have been following the KPL matches, u must agree with me that Allan wanger is at the top. A 26 years old striker has proved that he is a football star .he has greatly helped AFC Leopard and even the national team to a large extent. During the east African cecafa challenge, he intensely helped Harambee stars to defeat sudan and scoop the cecafa cup. Jockins Atudo is my second best, then paul were,Collins Okoth, jerry santos,Clifton miheso and Charles okwemba.the list is long but you can comment on the players who you think is the best,

MORE FOOTALL ACADEMY ARE NEEDED IN KENYA

Kenya is a mult-talented nation. Look at the comedy industry, before its start, who knew that we had such talented number of comedians ?indeed ,if any, I guess a few. Daniel Ndambuki well known as Churchill started the comedy show and opened a comedy academy ,and truly you can see the number of talents that have come out. Also if the rich can invest in these football academies like in Europe, then the football talents I know exist in this nation will be well utilized. Many of those young people living in remote area, believe that their football talent will go to a waste because they are undiscovered and there is no academy they can register so that their talents are recognized. National youth talent academy(NYTA) is among the few football academy in Kenya, but more are needed. I put a challenge to the top players like Dennis Oliech ,Victor Wanyama and his brother Mariga to lead by example because they have benefited from football.

BAYERN MUNICH ON THE BRINK TO TRIUMPH BUNDESLIGA TITLE

The Munich coach Pep Guardiola is perched to win the Bundesliga title in record time. If the team records a win on their next game at Hertha Berlin ,then they will be crowned the league champions with seven games left. A 19th consecutive league victory at Berlin’s Olympic will give Bayern their 24th German title .this means the team is going to break is set record of last season Bayern’s 2-0 win at Mainz 05 left them a massive 23 points clear in the league and they will be uncatchable if they win at Hertha Having won 14 of a possible 19 titles during four years as Barcelona coach, Guardiola is set to claim his third title in nine months at Bayern, having already won the Uefa Super Cup and Club World Cup. Guardiola’s side are first eight matches away from becoming the first team to ever go through an entire season in Germany’s top flight unbeaten.

WIGAN WILL CARRY THE DAY IN THE FA SEMI FINAL

Arguably many might dispute my prediction that wigan are the favorite to proceed to finals, but let’s wait and see. After watching wigan smash the mighty Manchester city 1-2 at Ethiad stadium ,I undoubtedly made up my mind that they will defeat Arsene wenger’s side Wigan is playing division two but it has proved to be worth in the FA cup. They are defending the cup they won last year. In case, it happens that they have crushed Arsenal in the semi final, then I think it’s going to be easy for them in the finals.

ROONEY’S GOAL IS EVIDENTLY ONE OF ITS KIND

Wayne Rooney flabbergasted the whole world with a breath-taking 58-yard goal in his side’s 2-0 victory at west Ham united on Saturday. Beckham made his name as a united player with a goal from the halfway line against Wimbledon on the opening day of the 1996-97 season and he was in attendance at Upton Park to see Rooney score a long –range lob of his own. At the 8th minutes on the clock, Rooney outmuscled West Ham defender James Tomkins on halfway before looking up and dispatching over befuddled goalkeeper Adrian and into the net. The England striker added a second goal in the 33rd minute to assure` Man united a win .

KENYAN TEAMS NOT PREPARED FOR CAF CONFEDERATION CUP

Watching the two teams representing Kenya in the confederation dumped out by teams from west and north Africa, evidentily showed that we have not matured to play in big tournament like CAF. Lack of experience in playing in such games implies that we have a long journey to go before we are recognized in the international world. The two teams that represented us –Gor Mahia and AFC leopard are the country’s best teams. When Gor Mahia lost to Esperance 2-3 in Nairobi ,all hopes were lost because its very hard to turn tables in the return league were they lost 4 goals to nill.AFC could have made the country proud ,but super star club held them to a draw of 2-2 ,however super star club proceeded because of their 2-0 win at home. Kenyan coaches need to do a lot to improve the football standards and ensure the local clubs shine in the international tournament.

WHO WILL ASTOUND THE WORLD IN BRAZIL?

Always in every tournament there is that potential breakout player who get recognized and becomes the most sought after property by big clubs in the world. Though I was young in the 2002 world cup. I vividly recall El Hadji Diouf stunning the world with the way he was playing. Up to date; he still remains one of my favorite. He is always up the with the likes of Thierry Henry for me. In 2010 world cup in South Africa ,Asmoa Gyian of Ghana stood out to be my favorite young player, despite missing a penalty which could have seen them proceed to the semi finals and final finals, I still regard him as a star. Over the four years since the last world cup was played ,I have compiled a list of players I think will daze the world in Brazil. Wilfred Bony The Ivorian is just like the Didier Drogba.his physical ability with the ball and strength to hold it and bully opponents just ticks every single box that defines the former Chelsea star. Christiano Ronald The Real Madrid star is the world football icon. He is mostly likely to bewilder the world .Am certain of that. The spotlight is on these talents to show the world what they are made of .

ARSEANAL SMASHED 6-0

Arsene Wenger ,the 64-years –old Frenchman was celebrating his 1000^th games as Arsenal manger, but he will remember the premier league encounter at Stamford Bridge for all the wrong reasons

Goals from Samuel Eto’o ,Andre Schurrle,Eden Hazard and Oscar put Chelsea 4-0 up by halftime, with further strikes by Oscar and Mohamed Salah compounding the visitor’s misery.

Arsenal’s defeat diminishes their chance of winning the title they have yearned for years. They are now seven points clear  behind the top leader Chelsea.

CAN MESSI BE THE CANTONA OF THIS GENERATION
